Orem, UT (January 31, 2026) – A fatal pedestrian collision took place on January 30 along 700 North State St in Orem, resulting in the death of a 46-year-old man. According to the Orem Police Department, officers were called to the scene around 7:30 p.m. after receiving reports of a man who had been struck while crossing the roadway. Emergency medical crews responded quickly and transported the victim to a nearby hospital.
Despite efforts to save him, the man later succumbed to his injuries. The driver involved remained at the scene and contacted emergency services immediately. Authorities have confirmed that the driver is fully cooperating with the ongoing investigation.
The Orem Police Major Accident Investigation Team closed the roadway to conduct a detailed review of the incident. Preliminary findings indicate that alcohol and drugs are not suspected factors in the crash. Identities of both the victim and the driver have not been released at this time.
