Tucson, AZ (January 31, 2026) – A crash involving a tractor-trailer and a passenger vehicle occurred on Interstate 19 near Pima Mine Rd, leaving at least one person injured and causing major lane closures on January 29.
The incident was reported around 12:00 p.m. in the northbound lanes of I-19 at kilometer 82. According to the Arizona Department of Transportation, the collision resulted in injuries and prompted an extended shutdown of northbound traffic. Southbound lanes remained open during the response.
Emergency responders treated the injured at the scene, and at least one person was transported to a hospital for additional medical care. The full extent of injuries has not yet been made public, and it remains unclear how many individuals were involved.
The accident occurred on January 29 and is currently under investigation by local and state authorities. Officials have not released information on what caused the collision or whether any contributing factors were identified at the scene.
