Kissimmee, FL (February 1, 2026) – A bicyclist was injured in a hit-and-run crash late January 30 in Kissimmee after being struck by an SUV near the area of South Poinciana Rd and Royal Point Ave. Florida Highway Patrol troopers responded to the scene and have launched an investigation to locate the driver involved.
The incident occurred during the nighttime hours when the male cyclist was hit by an SUV, possibly a dark-colored Jeep, which then fled the scene. Witnesses or surveillance footage may help provide more details, as authorities work to determine the identity of the vehicle and driver.
Emergency medical personnel transported the injured man to a nearby hospital. Reports indicate his injuries were not life-threatening. The road in the area remained open, though there was some activity as first responders worked the scene.
Troopers are continuing to investigate and ask that anyone with information about the crash or the fleeing vehicle contact the Florida Highway Patrol.
We extend our wishes for a full recovery to the cyclist injured in this incident.
