Indianapolis, IN (February 1, 2026) – A 55-year-old woman was injured early Saturday morning in a rear-end collision near Eskenazi Avenue in Indianapolis. The incident occurred around 2:14 a.m. on February 1 and resulted in a trauma alert being issued by emergency medical personnel.
According to dispatch reports, the woman was seated in the front passenger seat of a vehicle that sustained significant rear-end damage. She was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash but suffered a possible loss of consciousness and was found bleeding from the back of her head. Medics placed her in a cervical collar and reported that she was experiencing chest and back pain.
Paramedics from Medic 85 transported the patient to Eskenazi Hospital for further treatment. Despite initial difficulty establishing an IV line, her vital signs were reported as stable, including a blood pressure reading of 150/92 and oxygen saturation at 97% on room air.
