Perry Twp, MI (February 3, 2026) – A serious accident claimed the life of a pedestrian Sunday evening, February 1, in Perry Township, according to information released by Michigan State Police. The incident occurred around 7:45 p.m. along Lansing Road near Britton Road and prompted a response from troopers with the MSP Flint Post.
Preliminary details indicate that a man was walking or standing in the eastbound lane of Lansing Road when he was struck by an SUV traveling east. The vehicle was operated by a 36-year-old man from Perry. The impact resulted in critical injuries to the pedestrian.
Emergency personnel arrived at the scene and provided aid, but despite their efforts, the 28-year-old man from Perry Township was pronounced deceased as a result of his injuries. The roadway was temporarily affected as authorities worked to document the scene and ensure safety in the area.
