Gray Court, SC (February 24, 2026) – A pedestrian died after being struck by a tractor-trailer on Monday evening, February 23, along I-385 south near MM 20. The crash occurred around 5:40 p.m.
The Laurens County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as 29-year-old Melody Pyles of Gray Court. An 18-wheeler was involved in the collision. Emergency units responded to the scene shortly after the impact.
All lanes of I-385 were temporarily blocked following the accident. According to the South Carolina Department of Transportation, traffic resumed around 7:45 p.m. on Monday.
