Understanding Pedestrian Safety and Highway Collisions
Collisions between vehicles and pedestrians often result in serious injury or death, particularly on busy streets and intersections. Investigators typically examine the roadway, vehicle speed, and visibility when reviewing these accidents.
Pedestrians are encouraged to use crosswalks and be alert to oncoming traffic, while drivers should stay attentive and reduce speed in areas where people may be crossing. Even in cases where alcohol and drugs are not involved, accidents can occur quickly due to limited reaction time.
