Motorcycle Crashes Involving Semi-Trucks
Motorcycle crashes involving semi-trucks often lead to severe injuries because riders have little protection during impact. A truck’s size and weight can make even a brief collision extremely dangerous for someone on a motorcycle.
Highway crashes can be especially serious during rush hour. Heavy traffic, lane changes, and sudden slowdowns may leave little room for drivers and riders to react. Motorcycles are also smaller and can be harder to see near large trucks.
After a fatal motorcycle crash, lanes may remain closed for several hours. Emergency units may need time to treat victims, remove damaged vehicles, and clear debris from the roadway before traffic can move safely again.
