Why Multi-Vehicle Crashes Can Be Particularly Dangerous
Multi-vehicle crashes often occur when one vehicle loses control or misjudges traffic, creating a chain reaction with nearby vehicles. The involvement of multiple cars increases the risk of injuries because impacts can happen from different angles.
At higher speeds, collisions can produce more force, leading to severe injuries or fatalities. Roadway conditions, visibility, and reaction times also play a role in how a crash unfolds.
Emergency responders prioritize securing the scene, treating the injured, and preventing secondary accidents. Investigators later review factors such as vehicle positions, skid marks, and witness statements to better understand what caused the collision.
