Why Police Incidents Can Lead to Multi-Vehicle Crashes
Crashes sometimes occur when drivers attempt to leave the scene of an incident or emergency. Sudden acceleration, erratic driving, or attempts to evade authorities can increase the risk of collisions with other vehicles.
Busy urban intersections can be especially vulnerable to multi-vehicle crashes because of heavy traffic volumes and limited reaction time for nearby drivers.
When law enforcement investigates incidents involving criminal activity, they often examine witness statements, surveillance footage, and vehicle evidence to determine exactly how the crash occurred and whether charges may be applicable.
