Louisville, KY (March 14, 2026) – A woman died after being struck during an accident involving a parade float on Saturday afternoon, March 14, near the intersection of Bardstown Road and Grinstead Drive in Louisville.
When crews arrived, they found a woman in her 50s seriously hurt in the roadway. Early information indicates the woman was walking beside a parade float on Bardstown Road when her foot became caught on it. She fell to the ground and was then struck by the vehicle pulling the float.
Emergency units provided aid at the scene before taking the woman to a nearby hospital. Despite medical efforts, she later died from her injuries.
