What Can Lead to Crashes Involving Driver Interference?
Crashes can occur when a driver loses control of a vehicle due to sudden interference inside the car. This may involve a passenger unexpectedly grabbing the steering wheel or otherwise disrupting the driver’s ability to steer safely.
At highway speeds, even a brief loss of control can quickly lead to a collision. Vehicles may veer into barriers, other lanes, or roadside structures before the driver can regain control.
Situations like these are rare but can be especially dangerous because they happen without warning. Maintaining a secure and calm environment inside the vehicle can help reduce distractions and lower the risk of sudden incidents.
