What Makes Scooter and Vehicle Crashes More Dangerous?
Mixed-use streets like Southwest 31st Avenue and 23rd Street may involve varied speeds and traffic types. Responders in Miami often adjust traffic patterns during responses to help keep the area safe.
Scooters offer less protection than cars, which can increase the chance of injury during a crash. Even a moderate impact can lead to serious harm, especially if riders are not fully protected.
Traffic flow, visibility, and driver awareness all influence how safely scooters and vehicles share the road. When space is limited, or speeds vary, the risk of a collision can rise quickly.
