What Contributes to Multi-Vehicle Crashes on Urban Expressways?
Main travel routes near Route 33 often carry steady traffic, even during late-night hours. When several vehicles are traveling close together, a sudden stop or impact can quickly involve multiple cars.
Limited space and higher speeds on expressways can increase the severity of crashes. Once one vehicle is involved, others may not have enough time to avoid a chain reaction.
Road conditions, visibility, and driver response all influence how these incidents unfold. Maintaining safe distances and staying alert can help reduce the likelihood of multi-vehicle collisions.
