Why Do Multi-Vehicle Crashes Often Lead to Road Closures?
Multi-vehicle crashes frequently result in significant roadway disruptions due to the complexity of the scene.
When several vehicles are involved, debris, damaged infrastructure, such as poles, and vehicle positioning can block multiple lanes. Emergency responders must secure the area, assist victims, and ensure the roadway is safe before reopening.
These types of incidents can take longer to clear, especially if utilities are impacted or investigations are required to determine the cause.
