Understanding Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Accidents
Hit-and-run crashes can be particularly dangerous because immediate medical attention may be delayed, and important evidence from the driver or vehicle may be lost. Pedestrians hit outside of crosswalks or in poorly lit areas are at greater risk.
Injuries often involve the head, legs, or torso, and even conscious victims may experience memory loss or shock from the impact. Rapid emergency response and medical transport are critical for improving outcomes in these situations.
