What Makes Motorcycle Crashes in Urban Areas More Severe?
Motorcycle crashes in city areas can lead to serious outcomes due to the proximity of traffic and limited space. Vehicles traveling in different directions may cross paths quickly, leaving little time to react.
Motorcycles offer less protection than enclosed vehicles. Even at moderate speeds, a crash can result in severe injuries due to direct exposure during impact.
Urban roads often include intersections, turning vehicles, and varying traffic flow. These factors can increase the risk of collisions, especially when visibility or timing becomes an issue for drivers and riders.
