How Do Emergency Airlifts Impact Crash Response on Major Roads
When injuries are severe, medical helicopters may be called to transport patients quickly to specialized care facilities.
Establishing a landing zone often requires full road closures, especially on highways like Route 301.
These closures can cause significant delays but are necessary to ensure both patient care and responder safety during critical situations.
