What Makes Railroad Crossing Crashes Especially Dangerous
Collisions at railroad crossings can be particularly severe because trains are larger and heavier than passenger vehicles.
Limited visibility, especially at night, can make it difficult for drivers to see an approaching train in time to stop safely.
Functioning crossing signals and driver awareness are critical in helping prevent these types of incidents.
