What Conditions Can Lead to Intersection Crashes in College Areas?
Intersections like Lucinda Avenue and Annie Glidden Road often see steady movement from both campus traffic and nearby city streets. In DeKalb, these areas can become congested during peak hours, especially near university facilities.
Turning movements, changing signals, and varying speeds between vehicles can increase the chance of a crash. Drivers and pedestrians may also share the same space, which can add to the complexity of traffic flow.
When a vehicle leaves the roadway during a crash, it may point to sudden braking or attempts to avoid impact. Road layout, visibility, and driver awareness all contribute to how these incidents unfold in busy campus environments.
