How Residential Road Conditions Can Increase Crash Risks
Residential areas often have narrower roads and limited visibility, especially near curves or intersections. These conditions can make it harder for drivers to react quickly to unexpected situations.
Children playing or riding in the area may be less visible, particularly when they are close to the ground or using small vehicles. Drivers traveling at higher speeds may have less time to adjust when entering these spaces.
Road design, including a lack of sidewalks or clear separation from traffic, can also contribute to risk. Staying alert and reducing speed in neighborhoods can help reduce the risk of serious incidents.
