ACTON, Los Angeles County, Calif., Sept. 18, 2026 — A motorcyclist died on Thursday evening, September 17, after colliding with a truck on the northbound Antelope Valley (14) Freeway in Acton, according to authorities.
The California Highway Patrol reported that the crash happened about 6:15 p.m. just north of Sierra Highway. The rider was pronounced dead at the scene, officials said.
Two lanes of the freeway were closed following the crash, and a SigAlert was issued for the area, according to the CHP. All lanes reopened about 9:20 p.m. Thursday.
Authorities have not released the names of those involved or said what led to the collision. The circumstances of the crash remain under investigation.
