Anaheim, CA (January 26, 2026) – A fatal accident in Anaheim early January 26 claimed the life of a pregnant woman after a collision involving an allegedly impaired driver at the intersection of N Anaheim Blvd and the 91 Fwy Frontage Rd. Anaheim Police confirmed that the incident occurred at approximately 12:09 a.m. and resulted in one death and multiple injuries.
Authorities reported that a driver in a white Toyota Camry was traveling southbound on N Anaheim Blvd when the vehicle entered the intersection at the 91 Fwy Frontage Rd. At the same time, a grey Lexus traveling through the area reportedly ran a solid red light just before striking the Camry. The impact was severe and prompted an immediate emergency response to the scene.
Upon arrival, paramedics and fire crews worked quickly to assist those involved, evaluating victims for a variety of injuries and providing urgent medical care where needed. Despite these lifesaving efforts, a 24-year-old pregnant woman who was riding as the front passenger in the Camry was pronounced dead at the scene. She was later identified by family members as Bianca Esquivel.
The driver and two passengers inside the Lexus were transported to a nearby hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the Lexus was identified by police as 24-year-old Daniel Ramos of Riverside. Officials stated that Ramos “exhibited objective signs and symptoms of impairment” and was taken into custody at the location of the accident.
Ramos was arrested on suspicion of DUI and later booked on an additional vehicular homicide charge. Police also noted that, due to the victim being pregnant, additional charges may be considered depending on the outcome of the investigation. He was booked on suspicion of felony driving under the influence and vehicular manslaughter as the case continues to move forward.
The intersection remained under investigation as officers gathered evidence, spoke with witnesses, and worked to determine the full sequence of events leading up to the collision. No further details have been released at this time.
