AULT, Weld County, Colo., Sept. 15, 2026 — A motorcyclist died early Monday morning, September 14, after a crash with a pickup truck on Colorado State Highway 14 east of Ault, according to authorities.
The Ault Police Department said officers and the Ault-Pierce Fire Department responded to the crash at 2:38 a.m. in the 15000 block of Highway 14. The motorcycle caught fire as a result of the collision, authorities said. The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the pickup truck was not injured, according to police.
Highway 14 was closed for the investigation until about 6:30 a.m. Monday, authorities said. The Eaton Police Department, the Weld County Sheriff’s Office, and the Colorado State Patrol assisted at the scene, according to Ault police.
