AUSTIN, Travis County, Texas, Sept. 25, 2026 — One person was seriously hurt in a two-vehicle crash Thursday morning, September 24, on the southbound frontage road of the 183 toll road in east Austin.
Austin police responded to the crash near 51st Street at 5:35 a.m., according to the department. The collision shut down all southbound frontage road lanes in the area while crews worked the scene, the Texas Department of Transportation said.
One person suffered serious injuries.
