BARNETT TOWNSHIP, Jefferson County, Pa., Oct. 19, 2026 — One woman was hurt on Saturday evening, October 17, in a two-vehicle crash on Route 36 near Route 899 in Barnett Township. One vehicle reportedly began smoking after the crash, possibly from airbag deployment.
Initial reports from the scene indicated no injuries, but a caller later said a woman suffered an arm injury. The extent of her injuries has not been released.
Sigel Volunteer Fire Department responded to the scene along with Jefferson County EMS. Units were cleared from the scene by 6:10 p.m., about 48 minutes after the initial call.
