Bennet, NE (January 23, 2026) – Two children were hospitalized following a serious UTV accident that occurred on Monday afternoon near the intersection of Tyler and Cottonwood Streets in northeast Bennet.
The crash took place shortly after 4:00 p.m., prompting a coordinated emergency response from units in Lincoln, Bennet, and Hickman. According to the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office, a 9-year-old and a 7-year-old were both injured in the incident.
The 9-year-old child was transported to a local hospital with unspecified injuries, while the 7-year-old was reported to be in critical condition. A StarCare medical helicopter was seen taking off from the crash site, indicating the urgency of the situation.
