Marion Co., OR (July 20, 2026) – A bicyclist was seriously injured in a collision early on Sunday, July 19, on northbound Interstate 5. The report was made at approximately 3:54 a.m.
A white Subaru Outback struck the cyclist while traveling north. Investigators believe the rider may have been thrown into a travel lane and hit by another vehicle.
Emergency units took the bicyclist to a hospital with serious injuries. The Subaru driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the inquiry. The rider’s identity was not released.
The police are seeking witnesses and anyone who may have information about the second possible vehicle. The accident remains under review as evidence and witness accounts are gathered.
