Norco, CA (July 24, 2026) — Injuries were reported after a white box truck and a black Porsche collided on northbound I-15 south of Hidden Valley Parkway on Wednesday, July 22.

California Highway Patrol dispatch records show the crash was reported shortly after 10 a.m. The Porsche was initially stopped in the center divider, while the box truck came to rest on the right shoulder.

Fire personnel were requested for a person in the Porsche. One freeway lane was blocked during the response, and towing services were called for the damaged vehicle. The cause of the collision remains under investigation.

We hope everyone injured in the crash makes a full recovery.

Where the Crash Happened: Northbound I-15 South of Hidden Valley Pkwy

Northbound I-15 is a major interstate corridor carrying passenger and commercial traffic through western Riverside County. The section near Hidden Valley Parkway includes several travel lanes and connects drivers with nearby communities and other regional routes.

A crash that leaves vehicles on opposite sides of an interstate can complicate the emergency response. Crews may need to reach the center divider and right shoulder while maintaining a safe path through moving traffic.

What We Know

  • A white box truck and a black Porsche were involved.
  • The crash occurred on northbound I-15 south of Hidden Valley Parkway.
  • The Porsche had rear-end damage.
  • The Porsche stopped in the center divider.
  • The box truck stopped on the right shoulder.
  • One freeway lane was blocked.

How Vehicle Size Differences Affect Interstate Collisions

A box truck and a passenger SUV differ in weight, height, visibility, and braking characteristics. Those differences can influence the force of an impact and where each vehicle travels afterward, particularly on a multilane interstate.

In this crash, the box truck and Porsche ended up on opposite sides of I-15. Investigators can use the damage and final vehicle positions to determine how the contact occurred and whether either vehicle changed lanes or moved across the roadway after impact.

How This Crash Is Investigated

CHP investigators may document the damage to both vehicles, debris, tire marks, lane positions, and the locations where the truck and Porsche came to rest. The rear damage reported on the Porsche may help establish the direction and point of contact.

Driver statements and any available witness or vehicle data may be compared with the physical evidence. The dispatch log does not establish responsibility, and the completed investigation may provide details that were unavailable during the initial response.

What to Do After a Truck Collision

People involved in a California truck crash should retain photographs, towing paperwork, repair estimates, medical records, and insurance communications. These materials can help preserve information while the collision report is being completed.

For crashes investigated by the California Highway Patrol, reports are available through the CHP Crash Portal at crashes.chp.ca.gov or through a CHP 190 request submitted by mail or in person. The collision report form is CHP 555, while CHP 190 is the request form.

The online portal fee is $22. Mail and in-person requests cost $10 per 25 pages through CHP. A report becomes available after the investigating officer files it, and the portal shows when it is ready.

Under Vehicle Code § 20012, eligible parties of interest include drivers, passengers, vehicle or property owners, parents or guardians, and legal or insurance representatives. California collision reports are not public records and remain restricted to eligible parties, with no fixed public-release window.
