Boyd, TX (September 7, 2026) – A 32-year-old Boyd man died from his injuries following a three-vehicle collision on Farm Road 51 near Boyd late on Saturday night, September 5.
The death was confirmed on Sunday. Investigators continue reviewing the crash.

Why Can Three-Vehicle Collisions Produce Serious Injuries?
When three vehicles become involved, occupants may experience more than one sudden movement. A vehicle struck once may then contact another vehicle, roadside object, or barrier, exposing occupants to forces from different directions.
The severity of harm can depend on speed, vehicle size, seating position, restraint use, and where each contact occurs. Side contact can leave less protective structure between an occupant and another vehicle, while front and rear contact produce different body movements.
Multi-vehicle sequences can also develop quickly on two-lane or rural roads where opposing traffic may be nearby. Limited shoulders, curves, hills, or reduced nighttime visibility can leave less room to avoid secondary contact after the first vehicles come together.
