Burlington, IA (January 10, 2026) – One person has died as a result of injuries sustained in a two-vehicle crash that occurred on January 7 at the intersection of West Burlington Ave and Agency St. The collision was reported at approximately 1:06 p.m., prompting a response from the Burlington Police Department.
Officers arrived at the scene within minutes of being dispatched and began assessing the situation. Both vehicles sustained damage in the crash, and at least one individual was transported for medical treatment.
On January 8, Burlington Police confirmed that one of the drivers involved in the crash had succumbed to their injuries. The identity of the deceased has not been released pending notification of family members.
The Burlington Police Department’s Patrol Division and Criminal Investigation Division are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the fatal collision. Additional details are expected to be released as the investigation progresses.
