Callaway Co, MO (January 30, 2026) – A two-vehicle accident on Thursday morning along Rt F east of County Road 257 resulted in injuries to a teenage driver from Dixon, according to Missouri State Highway Patrol officials.
The crash occurred at approximately 9:30 a.m. when a 2006 Honda Civic traveling eastbound failed to stop for slowed traffic and collided into the rear of a 2013 Ford Edge that was stopped due to congestion. Authorities say the driver of the Honda, an 18-year-old male, was not wearing a safety device at the time of the impact.
Callaway County EMS transported the young driver to the University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia with injuries described as minor. The driver of the Ford, a 34-year-old woman from Fulton, was reportedly wearing a seatbelt and did not require hospitalization. Her vehicle sustained moderate damage and was able to be driven from the scene, while the Honda Civic sustained extensive damage and had to be towed by Tom and Steve’s Towing.
The incident was handled by Trooper D. M. Bradshaw of Troop F, with support from Trooper I. S. LeMasters and Troop G. C. Schimke. Investigators are working to determine whether additional factors contributed to the collision.
We extend our best wishes for a swift recovery to the injured driver and are grateful that no more serious injuries occurred.
