Walker, MI (June 3, 2026) – According to the Walker Police Department, the roadway crash happened on Tuesday, June 2, shortly after 3:30 p.m., about three miles south of Standale.
Investigators said a canoe being carried on top of a southbound van became loose and fell into traffic. The incident happened on Tuesday afternoon, near the intersection of Wilson Avenue Southwest and Hall Street Southwest in Walker.
Police said the canoe was then struck by a northbound vehicle before a motorcycle also became involved. The rider was taken to a hospital for treatment. No other injuries were reported.
