Frequently Asked Questions
Does speed make a difference in how bad a crash turns out? Yes. Higher speeds give drivers less time to react and increase the force involved in a collision, which usually means more serious vehicle damage and injuries.
Why is distracted driving considered so risky? Taking eyes or attention off the road for even a few seconds can prevent a driver from reacting to sudden stops, turning vehicles, or debris in the roadway, raising the chance of a crash.
Can weather or road conditions contribute to a crash like this one? Wet pavement, poor visibility, or debris in the road can reduce traction and reaction time, making collisions more likely, especially at busy intersections.
What should someone do right after a car accident? Check for injuries, move to a safe spot if possible, call 911, and exchange information with other drivers while waiting for law enforcement to arrive.
