Why does drowsy or distracted driving lead to crashes like this one? A driver who loses focus, even briefly, can drift out of a lane before reacting, which is enough to strike a curb, a parked object or another vehicle.
What should I do right after a two-vehicle crash? Move to a safe spot if possible, check for injuries, call 911, and exchange information with the other driver while waiting for officers to arrive.
Where do crashes like this usually happen? Many minor-injury collisions occur at intersections or along busy boulevards where vehicles are merging, turning or slowing for traffic signals.
