The crash reportedly began with a collision between a van and a car before triggering a chain-reaction crash. Safety Tips for Multi-Vehicle Crashes
Chain-reaction crashes can develop quickly when one collision creates hazards for approaching drivers. Keeping a safe following distance gives motorists more time to slow down or move away from a developing crash.
Drivers should remain alert for stopped or damaged vehicles ahead, especially at night. Reducing speed and avoiding sudden lane changes can also help prevent additional collisions.
