Charlotte, NC (January 10, 2026) – Emergency responders were dispatched early Thursday morning to a crash with injuries on Interstate 85 North near Concord Mills Boulevard. The incident occurred during the early morning hours of January 8, prompting a multi-agency response to secure the area and assist those involved.
Dispatch communications indicated that at least one individual was injured in the crash, and multiple law enforcement units—including the State Highway Patrol—were on scene. The far-left travel lane was temporarily shut down as crews worked to manage traffic flow and investigate the incident.
The crash occurred near the 12600 block of Mallard Creek Rd, and authorities confirmed that additional units were requested to help with traffic control until highway patrol could assume command of the scene.
