Chesapeake, VA (January 21, 2026) – A three-vehicle accident in Chesapeake on Monday morning left two people injured and hospitalized, according to local police.
The crash occurred around 9:25 a.m. at the intersection of Indian River Rd and Sparrow Rd. Investigators determined that a black Nissan Altima traveling east on Indian River Rd entered the intersection and struck a Honda Pilot that was heading north on Sparrow Rd. The impact caused the Honda Pilot to overturn and then collide with a third vehicle that was stopped at the light.
Emergency crews responded quickly to the scene. Two occupants of the overturned Honda Pilot were treated on site before being transported to a nearby hospital for additional evaluation. Their injuries have not been described as life-threatening. The drivers of the Altima and the third vehicle did not report any injuries.
The intersection was temporarily affected while officers cleared the scene and continued their investigation. No charges have been announced at this time, and the crash remains under review.
