Chicago, IL (April 21, 2026) – A woman lost her life after being struck by a semi-truck on Monday evening, April 20, in the Chicago Lawn neighborhood.
Emergency units responded to the 6300 block of South Western Avenue around 6:10 p.m. after reports of a pedestrian crash. Authorities said the woman was struck by a northbound semi-truck.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Her identity has not yet been released, and no additional details about the circumstances leading up to the incident have been confirmed.
