How E-Bike and Commercial Truck Crashes Are Investigated
Crashes involving an e-bike and a large commercial truck require investigators to closely examine the actions of both the rider and the driver before the collision. They may review witness statements, traffic camera footage, vehicle positions, roadway markings, and any physical evidence left at the scene. The visibility of each person and the movement of the vehicles are also considered during the review.
Commercial vehicles may undergo additional inspections to verify their condition and compliance with safety requirements. Investigators can also evaluate the roadway layout, traffic signals, and environmental conditions to better understand the circumstances surrounding the crash. These findings help develop a clear timeline of the incident and explain how the collision occurred.
