Weathersfield Township, OH (August 27, 2026) – A boy was injured after being struck by a police cruiser on Wednesday, August 26, in Weathersfield Township.
The crash happened on Prospect Street shortly before 1 p.m., according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol. An unmarked 2016 Ford Explorer operated by a Weathersfield Township police officer was traveling eastbound when the child entered the roadway from the south side.
The boy was struck by a police vehicle and sustained minor injuries. He was taken to a hospital for treatment.
The officer was not injured in the crash. The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
