What Investigators Review in E-Bike Injury Crashes
As electric bicycles become more common on roadways and shared-use paths, investigators often examine factors such as rider visibility, traffic conditions, roadway design, and compliance with traffic laws when a crash occurs.
In cases involving young riders, authorities may also review helmet use, the point of impact, and whether the crash involved another vehicle, cyclist, or roadway hazard. Evidence collected at the scene, along with witness statements and any available surveillance footage, can help determine the sequence of events and contributing factors.
