Frequently Asked Questions
How much does speed affect how bad a crash turns out?
Higher speed gives drivers less time to react and increases the force of any impact, so crashes at highway speeds tend to cause more serious injuries than those in slow traffic.
Why is distracted driving considered so risky?
Taking eyes or attention off the road for even a few seconds, especially at highway speed, can mean traveling a long distance without seeing a hazard like a slowing or turning vehicle ahead.
What to Do After a Car Crash in Christiania Township, Minnesota
Anyone involved in a crash on a rural highway like this should first make sure everyone is safe and call for help before doing anything else. Even when injuries seem minor, a medical evaluation soon after the crash can catch issues that aren't obvious right away. Keep a copy of the law enforcement report, photograph the scene and any vehicle damage if it's safe to do so, and follow up with your insurance company promptly. Giving yourself time to rest and recover, instead of rushing back to normal routines, often makes a real difference in how quickly you heal.
