Frequently Asked Questions
How does speed play into crashes? Even modest speed increases the force of impact and the severity of injuries, especially in collisions involving a vehicle and a much lighter bicycle.
Why is distracted driving a particular risk at intersections? A driver who is turning needs to watch for pedestrians, cyclists, and crossing traffic at once; a moment of lost attention can mean missing someone already in the intersection.
