CLEVELAND, Cuyahoga County, Ohio, Sept. 29, 2026 — One person died early Monday morning, September 28, after a car carrying four people went through a guardrail near the federal courthouse in downtown Cleveland, according to Cleveland Fire.
The crash happened at W Huron Rd and Superior Ave, where a vehicle reportedly broke through a guardrail and fell to the ground below, trapping some of the occupants inside. Cleveland Fire and Cleveland EMS crews responded to the scene.
Firefighters extracted three of the four passengers from the wreckage. One passenger was pronounced dead at the scene, authorities said. The conditions of the other occupants have not been released.
