Concord, CA (January 29, 2026) – One person was injured and hospitalized following a two-vehicle accident Tuesday night on the 680 Freeway near the toll plaza in Concord, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred at approximately 9:33 p.m. on January 27. CHP officers responded to reports of a collision involving two vehicles in the vicinity of the toll area. While the exact circumstances that led to the accident remain unclear, the scene required a coordinated response from emergency crews.
Paramedics treated at least one injured individual on site before transporting them to Concord Medical Center for further evaluation. No information has been released regarding the nature or severity of the injuries.
