Sand Springs, OK (September 4, 2026) – Construction worker Juan Ledesma died while working inside a trench near West Morrow Road and Wilson Avenue on Wednesday, September 2.
Ledesma was reportedly working in the trench while his coworkers were away at lunch when he was crushed. Emergency units arrived and determined that he had died.
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration was at the worksite examining what happened. Authorities continue reviewing the crash.

Trench Work Carries Serious Crushing and Entrapment Hazards
