Council Bluffs, IA (January 9, 2026) – Emergency crews responded to a three-vehicle crash Wednesday morning on IA-92 near the intersection with Harry Langdon Blvd in Council Bluffs. The crash was reported at approximately 10:30 a.m. and involved multiple vehicles blocking the roadway.
According to initial dispatch details, a 58-year-old woman involved in the crash reported chest pain at the scene—likely caused by airbag deployment. Medics evaluated her for injury and transported her for further medical care. The condition of the other individuals involved has not yet been released.
The incident led to temporary traffic disruption along IA-92 as responders worked to clear the wreckage and assess the involved parties. Officials have not confirmed what caused the crash, but an investigation is underway to determine whether speed, following distance, or driver distraction played a role.
