El Cajon, CA (July 22, 2026) – On Tuesday, July 21, a pickup truck swerved across eastbound I-8 before striking several other vehicles near the Second Street off-ramp in El Cajon, blocking the ramp, according to dispatch logs. Reports described three to four vehicles involved, including a tan and gray Chevrolet Silverado.
The Silverado’s driver, described as a man in his 20s, got out of the vehicle after the wreck. Emergency crews were called to assist, and a tow was requested to help clear the roadway.
Details about the extent of injuries were not immediately available. The cause remains under review.
