Oceanside, CA (July 22, 2026) – A black SUV veered into the center divider and struck a black sedan on northbound I-5 near Mission Avenue in Oceanside on Tuesday, July 21, according to dispatch logs. The SUV’s airbags deployed, and the vehicle continued across the lanes toward the right shoulder, reports said.
A bystander flagged down a nearby fire engine and reported that someone involved may be unconscious, though this had not been confirmed as of this report. Whether either vehicle was blocking traffic remained unclear.
